Investment Analyst

Based in London, MRK Associates are working with a fast-growing recycling technology company who are looking to recruit an Investment Analyst to join their commercial team on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for assisting in developing the business as they go through an intense and exciting stage of growth, working in a fast paced environment.

Our client is embarking on a Fast-growing journey with exciting technology in the waste management sector which will enable us to recycle more plastic.

The successful individual will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within investment banking/financial markets/asset management or a commercial/legal role. Comprehensive financial modelling and powerpoint skills with strong attention to detail are essential. You must be able to manage multiple projects with a proven track record of delivering results and meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills whilst being able to demonstrate a robust and confident character.

Duties will include:

  • Support Directors and Managers in key commercial and financial workstreams
  • Transaction execution - Play a key role in the running and execution of equity and debt investments, formation of joint ventures and licensing rights, across multiple territories. Including management and negotiation of legal documentation, as well as due diligence and advisors (e. lawyers) management
  • Works with BD team to develop business cases and/or review of commercial projects and financial aspects of Projects, including preparation of financial models, investment committee papers, including valuation, to ensure that the information is suitable for consideration by the investment committee/Board of Directors
  • Support Directors and Managers in engaging with key stakeholders, including shareholders, in order for the Company to achieve its long-term business plan and maintains its reporting obligations
  • Development and ownership of Company projects
  • Effectively manage multiple workstreams with excellent planning and execution
  • Preparing business plans and responsible for analysis and development of successful business models
  • Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation
  • Keep informed of competitive activities, new products and industry trends.
