Chief Financial Officer
Our client based in the North West of England is a highly successful and leading service provider in their specialist field. They are a growing UK based organisation, delivering a variety of managed services via long term contracts in a regulated environment. With market leading technology, the business is one of the most innovative in its sector and is experiencing rapid expansion, strengthened by a strong financial performance and recent private equity investment.
The business has delivered year on year revenue and EBITDA growth securing a number of new, exclusive client contracts and has opened additional sites across the UK. As part of its continued organic growth, the company will diversify into new services, which will provide a platform for further expansion both through new locations as well as existing sites. This represents an exciting time to join the UK Board as the Chief Financial Officer. As a strategic business partner to the CEO you will provide critical financial and commercial support to help achieve their growth agenda.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be based in the North West of England. This represents a critical hire to the UK Board. You will work in partnership with the CEO and the executive team to define and deliver a strategy that will deliver profitable growth and value creation. It is expected that you will add value operationally and commercially. As CFO you will have autonomy in leading and developing a high quality finance organisation, which provides effective support to the business. Key responsibilities will include -
- Assisting CEO in managing all financial and legal aspects of the business and providing analysis for important decision making
- Ensuring that appropriate financial controls are in place and that working capital is managed effectively
- Participating in review of M&A opportunities, organising due diligence and execution
- Preparing and updating financial projections (including annual budget & business plan)
- Debt financing in coordination with private equity investors and CEO
- Managing costs and identifying cost optimisation potential
You will be a CFO with experience of working with private equity (PE) and being responsible for the complete operational finance end-to-end, as well as strategic business partner to the CEO. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of making a difference by impacting the bottom line in either a large corporate or a PE backed service environment. In addition to being a technically capable, well-rounded accountant, it is also expected that you will be commercially aware and capable of driving margin growth and supporting other managers with decision making and strategy. It is important that you are comfortable leading change, capable of influencing at all levels and understand what a best-in class finance function looks like.
