Tax Manager
£65K
Woking/Surrey
My client is a fast growing technology company based in Woking and are looking for a Tax Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Tax and working with the wider tax team, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Preparation of group company year-end tax models and significant contributions to the preparation of the group consolidated tax provision
- Preparation of IFRS tax disclosures for financial statements and ensuring individual group entity taxes are accounted for correctly
- Ownership of the tax compliance affairs of various group entities including
- UK corporation tax returns, R&D claims and associated tax compliance requirements
- UK VAT, EC sales and associated indirect tax compliance requirements
- Working with overseas advisors and internal local finance teams to ensure local corporate tax compliance requirements are met and applied consistently across the group
- Responding to ad hoc tax queries
- Preparation of analysis and reports for the wider group tax team and other stakeholders within the business.
- Involvement in group wide UK tax projects and providing ad hoc support and advice on UK tax matters
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified
- Strong tax compliance experience gained from a significant accountancy practice
- Solid grounding in UK corporation tax and tax accounting
- Experience of managing the tax affairs of large complex groups
- IFRS accounting knowledge
- The ability to use Alphatax is preferred
