£60K (12 month FTC)

Central London

My client are a fast growing multi-national construction company and are looking for a Financial Accountant for 12 months.

Duties include:

• Production of statutory accounts for all UK and Europe entities, ensuring compliance with FRS 102, or IFRS as applicable, including:
• liaising with corporate accountants, tax, legal and company secretarial departments
• Ensuring all accounts filed within required timescales, statutory or otherwise
• Responsible for producing co-ordinated statutory accounts and tax filing and compliance timetable
• Responsible for preparing consolidated statutory accounts
• Continuous improvement of the accounts production process
• Technical assistance in relation to new accounting standards (e. IFRS 16)
• Preparation of tax pack information
• Assistance with corporate transactions, including restructuring and liquidations
• Accounts production system management and maintenance
• Assist the team with the quarterly financial close for UK entities and group reporting
• Assisting with the half year and year end group audit in addition to the year end statutory audit

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

• ACA/CA/ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent with post qualification experience
• Knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102
• Consolidation knowledge is desirable
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts using an accounting software
• Experience of preparing Limited Partnership accounts is a strong advantage
• Experience of dealing with auditors and other members of the finance team
• Experience of having worked alongside company secretarial and tax
• Exposure with Group/Corporate restructuring is an advantage
• Strong financial, analytical and system skills
• Advanced spreadsheet skills
