Opportunity to join a Professional Services business on an upward journey, based in Watford with a very welcoming, supportive and experienced finance team.

Description

* Provide business partnering support to the Operations Director, Client Engagement Manager and operational teams

* Work closely with Operational and Client Engagement teams to ensure KPI reports are in place, accurate, regularly reviewed and actions are followed up

* Support the monthly business unit review meetings (format to be agreed)

* Lead financial presentations to finance and non-finance teams

* Monitor company performance and report of variances

* Work closely with operational leads to make sure budgeted productivity, utilisation and revenue targets are achieved

* Lead client commercial queries / enquiries and ensure updates are provided to clients in a timely manner

* Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process

* Ensure sub-contract and other third-party cost is managed and approved correctly

* Support the FD with the design of a new P&L format where BU cost allocations are accurate

* Support month-end and year-end close process

* Support the rollout of the operational and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics)

* Monitor and report on investment performance * Lead and support R&D tax reviews

* Development and implementation of policies, practices and process improvement to increase overall efficiency (and margin)

* Support one-off special projects/ BD activities (eg Government funded projects, BD business planning etc.)

Profile

• Ability to simplify finance with non finance
• Fully qualified
• Commercially minded
• Strong systems knowledge (preferably with Microsoft Dynamics)
• High level, cross functional business partnering experience
• Able to drive improvements and productivity forward
• Preferably from a white collar environment
