Management Accountant

SF Recruitment are currently working with a highly successful wholesale business based in Birmingham. A newly created Management Accountant position is currently being recruited adding essential support to their dynamic UK Finance team, assisting with the Management Accounting and Financial Reporting provide a best in class function. This will ideally be suited to newly qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or a first time mover from practice. Passed finalists will also be considered.

- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Support and review accruals and ensuring that all costs relating to the current period are accurately calculated or reasonably estimated and then journaled into the general ledger
- Responsible for preparation and journaling cost of goods accruals
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts (as agreed with the UK Controller)
- Monthly variance analysis and commentary (including Customer, Products and Overheads)
- Weekly and Monthly Reconciliation of Margin reporting
- Completion of the monthly consolidation
- Finance Business Partnering with Cost Centre owners
- Preparation of the monthly cost centre reports
- Currency Exposure Management
- Liaise with commercial teams to understand currency requirements
- Organise and manage committed forward contracts
- FX exposure reporting
