Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join them on a permanent full-time basis, with an immediate start where possible. Joining their Finance team, you will support the Group Finance Manager in ensuring both income and expenditure transactions are posted accurately and timely. The post holder will have responsibility for assurance on rents and service charges, including responsibility for the annual rent process.

 

Main job responsibilities: 

  • Delivering a rent assurance and service charge service to a high standard of excellence and in adherence to group policies whilst maintaining the security and integrity of financial data.
  • Development and implementation of processes and procedures to provide assurance to Senior Management that rents have been calculated in line with statutory and regulatory requirements and recorded correctly on the Rent Accounting System. 
  • Assist in the review and improvement of processes for updating and maintaining rents and service charges on the system.
  • Prepare and maintain service charge schedules.
  • Ensure that transactions are processed accurately and charges are applied in line with statutory requirements and group rules. 
  • Review working practices on a regular basis ensuring continuous improvement, value for money and a high level of service to their customers.
  • Work in accordance with policies and procedures

 

Our client are looking for:

  • Significant recent and technical experience of operating within a Rent and Service Charge environment.
  • An expert knowledge of the rent standard and the regulatory framework.
  • Significant experience in a ledger processing environment
  • Excellent IT skills, which include the ability to confidently use all Microsoft Office applications, with proficiency in Excel
  • Experience of working with and the ability to use accounting systems.
  • Experience of reconciling accounts.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other teams, building rapport and trust through negotiation and discussion.
  • The ability to manage own time and priorities whilst demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach
