Financial Accountant - Insurance - 12 Month FTC

A leading Insurance firm, based in the City of London, requires a Group Financial Accountant to join their them on an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. This is a great opportunity to gain a broad range of experience across Finance, working closely with the Financial Controller. You will also get the opportunity to be involved with high profile projects.
 
Key Duties:
 

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports to senior stakeholders
• Review of balance sheet accounts, accruals and prepayments as part of the month end close process
• Support preparation of quarterly board report
• Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS
• Responsible for preparation of monthly MI packs
• Support to the Head of Finance as necessary
• Ad hoc projects and requests from Directors
• Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS

 
Qualifications & Expertise:
 

• Qualified Accountant, or Part Qualified Finalist (ACA, ACCA or CiMA)
• Ability to produce high quality work within agreed deadlines
• Communicates in a clear and practical manner, both verbally and in writing
• Experience within the Insurance industry and IFRS essential
