CFO Multi-Site Retail

Marks Sattin Executive Search have an amazing mandate to search for a high calibre CFO to work within a Multi-Site Retail business based in Hertfordshire to start immediately. This is a first class opportunity to join a leading UK retail business showing consistent growth and providing their customers with a wide range of products and services.

Reporting to the CEO, this role is designed to provide strategic insight and support to an aspirational leadership team, development and delivery of strategic initiatives and capturing new opportunities, managing projects and supporting the delivery of a realistic growth plan. The CFO will have very strong analytical, strategic planning and communication acumen, including an ability to be the CEO's trusted partner, in parallel with board members and other Senior Leadership teams in order to accurately influence and guide the commercial business strategy.

As CFO, you will be taking control of the finance function, key responsibilities will include, cash flow management, developing, maintaining and re-enforcing control policies and management of supplier payments within a highly leveraged environment. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to provide financial information across all functions of the business, building strong relationships in the process.

We seek an autonomous CFO/FD with complete responsibility for the finance function of a multi-site business and strong understanding of warehousing and logistics. The ideal candidate has experience in the multi-site retail, wholesale, distribution or logistics (preferably 3PL) sector. Holding a Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA, ACMA or ACCA), the right CFO will be a bright self-starter, experience in a complex financial environment, results orientation and ability to articulate ideas and concepts are important for this role.
