Finance Director

Mallory Partners has been retained by a mid-market private equity firm to recruit a Finance Director to join their fast-growing team. The business invests in high-potential SMEs with strong growth prospects and backs management to deliver the growth. They have completed 20+ transactions across a range of sectors, but are particularly strong in services and tech.

The FD role will initially be part time – probably c2-3 days per week, this may increase as the fund and portfolio grow. The role is primarily responsible for building the finance function and the overall financial management of the firm (including fund management, investor reporting etc), but also IT, HR, Facilities, Compliance, Insurance and other supporting functions.

To be considered for the role you must:

• Be a professionally qualified accountant – ideally ACA.
• Have experience of working in a highly regulated environment. Private Equity or Financial Services experience would be preferable.
• Have led and grown a successful Finance team whilst maintaining other functions including – IT, HR and Facilities.
• Be a dynamic self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a very hands-on, fast paced role.
