Established Cannock based accountancy practice. Clientele is Sole-traders, OMB, and SME all the way up to c£30m turnover. The practice has long term plans for the future, and needs someone enthusiastic to help with reaching the next stage in their growth.
Description
As part of this established practice, you will build relationships with clients and look to advise and deliver on tax advice and wider project work, working with the wider management and partner team. With customers all over the West Midlands, the successful applicant will be expected to work with the directors to secure new business and help develop junior staff. The role and firm provide an opportunity for you to develop your tax career. The following list is an idea of some of the responsibilities of this position
- Preparing corporation tax computations for larger and more complex corporate clients, including completion of tax provision and deferred tax calculations. Finalising company tax returns for client approval and subsequent submission.
- Working closely with the audit and accounts teams to assist them with tax provisions in accounts.
- Preparation of tax computations and returns for sole traders and partnerships
- Capital allowance reviews
- Research & development reviews
- Preparation of capital gains tax computations
- Claims for relief under EIS and VCT and dealing with the relevant elections
- Preparation/review of P11Ds, ERS, non-resident landlord and ATED returns
- Providing support in advising clients on tax planning opportunities including on EIS and reconstructions
Profile
- Ideally AAT/ATT trained, working towards ACA/CTA/ACCA
- The successful candidate will be expected to work without constant supervision and to take the lead with dealing with clients' tax needs
- Time Management skills are key, alongside being flexible team workers
- Successful applicant will have high level customer service and work ethics
- Ability to be proactive and respond quickly to customer needs
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
