Partner Financial are working in collaboration with a leader in the services sector. Based in West Yorkshire, this is a dynamic business with a firmly embedded, positive working culture. This global specialist, is both multi-site and fast paced, firmly focused on delivering robust and future proof projects as they experience an exponential period of growth. 

Reporting to the Finance Projects Director, you will lead on all Financial Accounting and Control within the FSS. This is a pivotal role that requires a proven track record in a financial reporting management capacity. It is also an excellent opportunity to implement and drive efficient processes in the reporting cycle, accounting standards and compliance and the Financial Accounting system. Your key stakeholders will include directors and senior leaders from across the group and you will be responsible for the financial management, reporting and control of the managed services side of the business.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Line Management of three Financial Accountants, all of whom have direct reports.
  • Overall responsibility for and sign-off for all outputs of the team including monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts.
  • Being the key stakeholder for the Finance Business Partners and supporting the Finance Projects Director with the stakeholder management of the Finance Directors.
  • Working closely with Group Finance to manage accounting standards and compliance.
  • Management of the month end cycle, including creating and owning a month end calendar alongside Group Finance.
  • Overall ownership of payroll postings.
  • Overall ownership of Financial Accounting systems from the FSS, working closely with the wider business to influence and implement developments and improvements.
  • Looking to systemise the balance sheet reconciliations process.

Profile:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Demonstrable Experience of operating in an FC capacity and managing teams.
  • Solid technical accounting skills with some commercial acumen.
  • Advanced systems knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload within tight deadlines.
  • Able to delegate while working effectively as part of a team building trust and influence amongst colleagues.
  • Experience in large to medium sized businesses advantageous.
