Join a local accountancy firm, north of Bury, to support the partners with the management of the portfolio.

Your new firm
A small and friendly firm of Chartered Accountants based north of Bury in Lancashire are looking to recruit a senior accountant to join their team on a permanent basis working either 4 or 5 days a week. This is a new opportunity that has arisen due to new business wins and a retirement within the team.

Your new role
As an Accounts Senior you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for a range of sole traders, partnership and limited companies predominantly under the audit threshold. Once you have bedded into the team you will be provided with the opportunity to develop your own portfolio, onboarding new clients and also taking over responsibility for some of the firm's existing client base. With this role you will be more client facing - taking responsibility for managing your own deadlines and conducting client meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are seeking an experienced accounts senior who is either qualified (ACA / ACCA) or QBE and has gained a number of years experience working within a general practice. You must be comfortable in taking accounts through to finalisation and be comfortable liaising with clients over phone and email. The firm use Iris software so any prior experience of this would be beneficial.
