Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a successful & well-established business based in Rotherham as they look to appoint an Accounts Payable Analyst into their team.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, the ability to solve complex queries and experience of process improvement. You will also be responsible for supporting with regulatory reporting on all areas of control and risk, liaising with various teams across the business.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a real self starter, with a strong mindset who is looking for an analytical role where they will be heavily involved in influencing decisions, improving processes and helping drive a business forward.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Support the Financial Control Senior Analyst in all aspects of the P2P process, including and ownership of resolution of business queries & process improvements
* Support, where required, of annual SOX compliance programme, including regular testing, remediation of issues and related reporting requirements
* Deliver process reviews to make improvement recommendations and see them through to sustainable implementation
* Support Financial Control Team processes as required including management of the DOA and expense process
* Conduct investigations and reporting on instances of control failure, developing process improvements and controls to limit future instances or impact
* Monitoring specified business controls, including those performed by outsourcing partner
* To support the wider team on other elements of financial control and to 'cross skill' to provide cover and support where required

Knowledge & Expertise:

* Have finance knowledge and use of accounting software
* Have good attention to details and accurate data entry / analysis
* Work well under pressure and be expected to manage deadlines by prioritising tasks
* Actively enjoy problem solving and identifying improvements before putting them into practice
* Demonstrate high IT literacy (including intermediate Excel and other Microsoft packages)
