FP&A Analyst

About the Role:

Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, my client, a dynamic and progressive business looking for a qualified accountant to join their team as an FP&A Analyst on a permanent basis.

The company has gone from strength to strength and has an excellent position in their market with a varied product portfolio and a strong pipeline for the future. The FP&A Analyst will provide support to the European business in alongside the Corporate FP&A team the primary objective to support and build business and finance capability in Europe, ensure pricing governance across Europe working closely with the European Commercial Finance Team.

Main responsibilities of the FP&A Analyst:

  • Consolidation of the European P&L Budget and Forecasts working closely with the finance, operational and commercial teams.
  • Supporting the implementation and regular delivery of the European Budget and Forecast of regional Cash-Flow and Balance Sheet Metrics and track performance.
  • Work closely with Corporate FP&A team, assist in the loading of all European Budgeting and Forecasting, ensuring the European team meets deadlines.
  • Assist in the enhancement of current forecasting to rolling and longer-term forecasts.
  • Assisting in the delivery of adhoc reporting and analysis as required, turning to regular activities where appropriate such as Sensitivity of financials plans, Business Cases and Regional improvement plans
  • Drive continuous improvements to deliver more efficient and effective FP&A, Budgeting and Forecasting Processes
  • Sourcing information from Global Business Units and International Marketing teams to assist in the analysis and proposal of pricing strategy to the European markets
  • Uphold regional and Global Pricing Governance policies, raising issues to Snr Management when required.
  • Manage the recording / reporting of all European Price Lists, include EU Customers and Value Channels
  • Working with Key Account Managers in the European Sales team, deliver a financial assessment of EU Customer and Value Channel Pricing proposals, for approval. 
  • Assist in the delivery of analysis on the impacts of external factors on European product pricing, product margins, highlighting margin risks and opportunities and impacts on European Financial plans.
  • Drive continuous improvements to deliver more efficient and effective Pricing Governance, pricing and margin management, and pricing update processes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other Corporate Policies.

 

 

The Ideal candidate for the FP&A Analyst:

  • Qualified accountant with relevant FP&A/ Pricing experience preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Ability to work independently, being highly self-motivated, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT Skills with advanced Excel and experience working with SAP.
  • Developed communication (verbal & written) skills with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels across the business.
  • Excellent in Data gathering and interpretation; excellent mathematical, analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Problem Solving skills with the ability to seek alternative solutions.
