Senior Tax Manager / Associate Tax Director Job, for Big 4 accountancy practice, Manchester, £70,000 - £90,000

Your new company
This Manchester based Big 4 chartered accountancy firm offers a broad array of accountancy services, financial and operational, to private and corporate clients across the globe. These include large corporate businesses and some of the world's most ultra-high-net-worth individuals and cover a broad spectrum of industries such as Real Estate, Shipping and Aviation and more. The firm prides itself on its passion, unrivalled bespoke service, strive for progress, and high performance. As such, they are looking for a Senior Tax Manager or Associate Tax Director to join their dynamic Corporate Tax Team to provide technical tax support to clients, more junior members of the team, the Client Services Department and the Business Development Team. This firm is known for tailoring their jobs around their employees in accordance with their experience, aspirations and personal circumstances. Given this, both full-time and part-time hours will be considered.

Your new role
As a Senior Tax Manager / Associate Director you will report into the Tax Director and have the support of two Tax Managers under your management. You will advise private clients on direct tax related matters and offer technical input to your team in relation to compliance. You will attend client meetings and support with business development by meeting prospective clients. The extent of business development within this role will be dependent on your interest in this element. You will draft tax articles for newsletters and other marketing initiatives, and research and analyse the impact of new and current tax legislation. You will also prepare training sessions and corresponding documentation to ensure a certain level of basic knowledge is achieved throughout the wider firm.

What you'll need to succeed
As a successful tax professional, to secure this Manchester based job you will have a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA) with a proven track record of providing technical advice to private clients on a variety of UK tax issues. In line with the firm's ethos, you will be passionate about customer service and pride yourself on the delivery of high-quality work, second to none. You will be able to work to your own initiative, and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Additional experience of Corporate and/or Trust tax is welcomed, but not essential.

What you'll get in return
Delivering the premium to its clients, this firm also offers the best to its staff. This role is paying £70,000 to £90,000 and comes with a strong benefits package, including pension, life insurance, private medical insurance, long term incentive plan, sales incentive plan and discretionary bonus. This position may be completed from home with occasional travel to an office, in a more regular hybrid manner or largely from one of their offices. This is entirely dependent on the individual's preference(s).
