I am working with a FTSE 100 Insurer on their Head of Group Technical Accounting hire. This is by no means a BAU role, and over the last 6 months the remit has really developed into an extremely sizeable and high-profile project.
The company are on their next phase of growth, and this is key to that happening. You will be focussed on enhancing their industry presence and leading a team of 1, within the wider technical accounting function.
This role will present a lot of exposure to the Group FC, CFO and external stakeholders, as well as provide you with a real opportunity to build out a career.
We will be looking for an individual either straight from a Big 4 practice, or within a large Financial Services / Insurer (ideally plc) in a similar capacity currently.
An in-depth understanding of IFRS 17 is an absolute must for this role, as well as Solvency II.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- ACA Big 4 qualified with significant PQE – either in industry or practice
- Has held a like-for-like role within a similar business, or at Senior Manager level looking for your first ‘Head of’ role
- IFRS 17 and Solvency II knowledge and understanding
- Ideally some previous management experience
