Elevation Recruitment are working with a successful business based in Goole to support them in hiring a new Assistant Site Accountant to join their team. This role will start ASAP on a temporary basis, with a strong probability of permanency for the right candidate.

The Assistant Site Accountant will be responsible for preparing all site related accounting activities including cost control against plan, working capital management and product costings for review and analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare site management accounts in order to provide accurate financial reporting for review by the management accountant
- Ensure that company accounting standards and International accounting standards (IFRS) are complied with in order to satisfy internal and external auditing and regulatory expectations
- Prepare reports to enable the monitoring and advice on control of working capital to optimise cash flow
- Regular communication with Management Accountant and departmental heads on site as well as off site communication with head office, Central Accounts department and external auditors
- Control and development of inventory management and costing systems including monthly stock valuation, product costings, physical stock counting and overhead allocations
- Organise and reconcile the quarterly inventory counts
- Provide product costing support to sales and marketing as and when required
- Site responsibility for the coordination of the annual strategic planning process over all departments
- Prepare monthly reports for Management Accountant to present to the senior management team, Site Director and Financial Directors
- Prepare financial & inventory support to aid decision making where needed

- Partial or Full UK Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT)
- Experience in all SAP accounting & inventory management functions
- Broad range of competence in other key areas within SAP
- Ability to plan multiple activities with competing priorities
- Good trouble-shooting & analytical skills
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Competent IT skills
