We are delighted to be retained by Crescent Motorcycle Company Limited, a long-established privately-owned group which runs three specialist retail outlets with multiple franchises including Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki, whilst operating an international World Superbike racing team on behalf of Yamaha.  Group turnover is c£12m and the business employs over 40 people.

As an integral part of the company’s forward development across all operational areas of the business, a new management position for a Group Management Accountant is now available. The successful candidate will report to the Directors and Shareholders and be responsible for finance operations and systems across all departmental areas.  They will also play an active role in the company’s commercial, administrative, legal and HR functions.

This will be the number one finance role with excellent prospects for promotion to Group Financial Controller and ultimately to Finance Director.   We are looking for a high calibre and commercially driven finance professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  First class business acumen and the ability to quickly understand how the business works and how to maximise its potential will be essential.

Candidates should be qualified accountants and ideally have the potential to move into a more senior role.   Previous experience will include leading or being part of a group finance function with different revenue streams where strong financial controls and cash management are essential to success.  This experience will ideally have been gained within the multi-site retail sector and encompassed a breadth of finance responsibilities.  Broader exposure to HR, IT, legal and commercial administration will add to an applicant’s candidacy. An interest in the sector will be of particular interest or, at the very least, a desire to embrace the deep-rooted commitment and enthusiasm which is clearly demonstrated by the rest of the team!

Over and above this, the in-coming Group Management Accountant needs to be a very motivated self-starter who will enjoy playing a key role in the growth of a top-quality motorcycle retail business with excellent potential.
