Working with A Wilderness Way offers the opportunity for you to truly make a difference to children’s lives. As our interim Head of Finance, you will provide expert maternity cover for our team to ensure they are continuing their development. This is more than a caretaking role, there is opportunity to identify and implement improvements within the function. The position plays a key role in the organisation’s finance continuous improvement strategy and embedding our newly implemented finance system. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will collaborate with the executive management team to analyse finances and develop budgets and forecasts to keep the company aligned to deliver to planned performance as a minimum.
You will be a key player in the senior management team, building on the Management Information
(MI) in place to ensure sound, effective and rapid decisions can be made, ensuring financial diligence, effective cost and cash management are in operation at all levels. We are looking for an experienced qualified finance professional with at least 5 years post qualification experience, working in a similar role, with strong commercial focus. With a track record of successful team and people engagement and management, you will lead change processes and inspire others to change and improve.
We are looking for people who:
- Hold a CIMA/ ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Have excellent financial analysis skills, you can evaluate and simplify complex projects.
- Are tenacious and driven team player, with a passion for developing others.
- Can collaborate and support the team to create an exceptional service.
