Privately owned services business in South Hampshire are looking to hire an Interim Financial Accountant asap to support their consolidated group reporting activity over a 6 month period. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the audit and year-end process. During the assignment, the expectation is that you will spend 2/3 days per week in their offices, with the rest working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory reporting and application of FRS 102 within the group
- Principal contact for technical accounting issues, corporation tax compliance and VAT reporting
- Coordinate annual and interim audit process, including ownership of year-end consolidation
- Review balance sheet reconciliations for compliance with accounting standards
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant with experience of financial accounting in a group structure
- Detailed knowledge of key accounting concepts under FRS 102
- Strong understanding of VAT and corporation tax
- Flexible self-starter with proven strong communication skills
