Assistant Accountant

A food manufacturing business, based in Malton, is currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team.

This an exciting and brand new opportunity to support the Commercial and Operations Accountant in the day to day accounting procedures. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £22,000 as well as 33 days holiday and opportunities to progress within the team.

Key responsibilities for the successful Assistant Accountant include:

Production of product costingsProduction of commercial / profit summariesProduct Set ups in NavisionMaster data maintenance in NavisionCleansing of Navision and Preactor data on a regular basisMaintenance and update of standardsInvestigation of variances to standardReconciling factory performance to reported numbersAiding in systems development/improvementGeneral processing Accounts Cover for rest of team

To be successful in this Assistant Accountant role, you must:

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
• Be a finance graduate, or AAT student/qualified
• Confident user of Excel
• Confident user of accountancy software (Navision would be advatnageous)
