Management Accountant

My client, a well know hospitality business are looking for a Management Accountant (Fixed Term - 12
months) to join their dedicated team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant

Responsibilities include the following:

• Month end accruals and prepayments postings across a range of P&L areas including employment costs, rent and other fixed costs, utilities, IT, and licences;
• Analytical review of P&L accounts, and presentation of findings to Financial Controller;
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and undertaking actions based on any risks identified;
• Business partnering with relevant teams across the company;
• Working with the Accounts Payable and Bank and Cash teams to ensure day-to-day operational finance requirements are met;
• Creation of annual budgets and review of performance against these throughout the year;
• Applying knowledge gained through relevant studies to review and improve processes and controls around financial reporting of costs, capital expenditure, and cashflow, and
• Working on ad hoc projects to support the Financial Controller (e. in relation to cost control and energy consumption)

This is an ideal role for someone working towards their finance qualification.

Ideally you should have sound technical accounting knowledge and be proficient in Excel
