fdu is recruiting a high calibre Financial Controller for a well-funded AI/Machine Learning enabled Healthcare client who are scaling towards an exit in 3-4 years time. Following their recent Series B fund raise and to enable the continued growth of the business, a Financial Controller is required to support the Finance Director and play a key role developing a world class finance function to support growth.
You need to be ambitious individual, well trained with an entrepreneurial streak.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all day to day accounting activity, overseeing the outsourced bookkeeping function.
- Statutory accounting and all accounting operations including month-end and year-end close.
- Preparing timely management accounts and all financial reporting.
- Implementing better processes and outputs for higher quality insights to support the decision making process.
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with a sophisticated FP&A framework that can provide insightful analytics / decision making data.
- Supporting and leading scale up projects to support growth i.e. new systems implementation.
Qualifications and skills
- Academically strong and well trained.
- Fully qualified accountant with experience gained in a high growth environment.
- Demonstrable experience of continually improving finance systems and processes; systems implementation experience i.e. Xero would be beneficial.
- Technically strong – prior experience of managing period end close and group consolidations.
- Strong financial leadership experience with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly systems literate with a track record of automation which drives efficiency.
- Hands on approach, you must be able to demonstrate that you are a ‘doer’.
