Financial Planning Analyst

A key Financial Planning & Analysis role for a leading Logistics business in Manchester. 6 month FTC.

Your new role
A key FP&A Analyst role reporting to the FP&A Manager. You'll be playing a key part in the team responsible for consolidating reports, analysing performance and trends, and consolidating forecasts, budgets and plans for the future. You will deliver reporting against internal benchmarks and then compare with external competitors in the industry. to aid business decisions & strategy. You will help build financial plans across the business, using proven techniques and methods. Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets and strategic plans, consolidate reporting inputs, support the weekly and monthly performance reporting, consolidate the period results, understanding key variances and their impact. This will involve communicating and building relationships with key partners across the business, developing planning techniques within the reporting tool and supporting with queries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant or finalist with previous experience working in an FP&A role. Experience working with budgets and forecasts. Strong IT skills, including Excel models. V LOOKUP's and advanced formulas. An attention to detail. Experience with IT planning systems. The ability to produce strong presentations and tell a story through data. Confidence to present to senior leaders, challenging and influencing where necessary.

What you'll get in return
