Tax Manager

This is a well-established and long-standing accountancy practice based in Huddersfield. The firm offers a number of business lines including financial services, trust and estates and tax. The tax team are looking to expand their numbers by hiring a technically strong and experienced tax professional who can take on a senior position within the firm

Description

The successful Tax Manager will be responsible for but not restricted to:

Preparing both personal and corporate tax returns Providing both compliance and advisory services Using commercial information and strong interpersonal skills to seek out and capitalise on business opportunitiesOverseeing, reviewing and supporting the work of other team membersWorking on a varied portfolio such as OMB's, sole traders and company directors Dealing effectively and confidently with both clients and HMRC Ad Hoc projects and specialist cases such as tax investigation work

Profile

The successful Tax Manager will:

Be fully (or nearly) CTA qualifiedHave the ability to draw upon a strong theoretical background and apply this to practice Have the technical know-how to review the work of other colleagues to ensure accurate completion Possess a determined and committed attitude, with the desire to play a key role in the growth of the firm

Market rate salary - circa £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experienceGreat office culture including at least 4 big events per year such as Christmas parties or trips away Genuine path to Directorship
