A fast-growing organisation, who are considered one of the world's leading think tanks, are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager/Financial Controller to support the team over the next 3-5 months. Having doubled in size in the last few months alone, with further growth and expansion into new countries on the horizon, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional with prior charity sector experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the statutory reporting and tax activities for the organisation, including VAT, HMRC and PAYE
  • Producing consolidated management accounts
  • Liaising with overseas staff and advisors to ensure organisation-wide compliance with accounting regulations and law
  • Managing the accounts payable function, and payroll services, across the organisation
  • Line managing two Finance Assistants

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience of charity accounting, ideally in an international environment
  • The ability to improve existing, and implement new processes and controls
  • Experience liaising with the SMT and Board, whilst also taking a hands-on approach to more technical accounting matters
