Finance Manager (Land Development) - WFH

Hays are currently working in partnership with a £2 billion T/O manufacturing company, we are recruiting for a Finance Manager for their Land Development division. This will initially be on a 3 month contract - although this is likely to be extended.

The Finance Manager, Land Development will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of 15-25 property sites. It is a critical member of the organisations Land Development Team and you will provide key financial management and business partnering to the Head of Land Development with the responsibility of optimising a £600m real estate portfolio.

You will be the finance representative in a team of 8, which is otherwise made up of property experts. You will review what is being done with each of the sites, evaluate processes, potential development opportunities and how to best maximise return.

Key duties include:

• Ensure the sites develop and deliver a sustainable level of earnings and cash generation according to its strategic business plan.
• Lead on all development investment modelling as well as the tracking of development pipeline and related investment (pre-development costs) and capital land acquisitions.
• Have responsibility of coordinating the L&NR business planning and reporting cycle (strategic plan, budgets, outlooks and forecasts) in line with Group reporting requirements.
• To lead on engagement with development partners and promotional agreements to understand performance of development projects (overages) and perform open book audit review of project costs.
• To manage the annual external asset revaluations (EUV and target MVs) of the development portfolio.
• To lead on financial due diligence on development propositions and prospective development partners, advise on deal structuring and responsible for financial valuation and development appraisals for go/no go decisions on land sale transactions.

In order to be considered for this role you must have previous finance experience in either strategic land or real estate.

This role will be remote working and inside scope of IR35 at £400 per day PAYE or £450 per day Umbrella.
