Assistant Accountant - Immediate start! Temporary (3 months) and or Temp to Permanent
Accountancy Recruit are recruiting for a manufacturing business based in Bury St Edmunds at the UK Head Office. I am recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for an immediate start! This role could develop into a permanent position, as part of the UK Finance Team.
Initially the Assistant Accountant role will be involved in a variety of tasks including:
- Supporting the Financial Controller with year-end.
- Collecting relevant data and investigating discrepancies at the transactional level to ensure the accuracy of the year end accounts.
- Credit control: allocating receipts, preparing aged debtors' reports and liaising with the commercial department to notify of outstanding debt for collection.
- Sending out automated sales ledger invoices and dealing with customer queries.
- Processing monthly payroll data, calculating overtime and PAYE for submission to the external payroll bureau.
- Dealing with payroll queries: setting up new starters and processing leavers.
So, if you enjoy a busy working environment, are a confident problem solver and familiar with working with high volume data using an ERP system, with strong experience of Excel then this is an interesting role for you! Plus, there is the opportunity of a permanent job too!
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £14-15 per hour.
