Head of Finance

A large and well known national organisation who, in the ten years since they were founded have become leaders in their field, are looking for an experienced candidate to join them as Head of Finance for 18 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a Head of Finance, or experience Financial Controller, to take on a varied role with involvement in a number of exciting projects!

Main responsibilities include:

• Management of a team of 5, with 4 direct reports, across the FP&A and the transactions teams
• Designing and leading the organisation-wide business plan process and business cases
• Delivering quarterly management accounts
• Producing the year end accounts and statutory returns for the organisation, and being the main point of contact to the auditors
• Preparing the organisation's annual budget, preparing Board papers, and presenting financial information to the Board and SMT
• Ensuring strong financial controls and governance is in place across all of finance

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified accountant, with significant post-qualification experience within relevant roles
• Have experience of leading a finance functions, including management of FP&A, management accounting and AP teams
• Be an advanced user of Excel, with strong financial modelling capabilities
• Have an understanding of public sector controls and processes (FReM reporting knowledge would be beneficial)
