Finance Manager / Financial Controller  | £50,000 - £55,000 | Garforth

The Opportunity

Immediate requirement for a diligent and hands-on Interim Financial Controller.  The business is a thriving SME in the £20m - £25m turnover bracket.  They have experienced major change through the past 12 – 18 months and have a firm pipeline of significant new projects on the horizon.  The MD is looking for immediate support from an interim Financial Controller who can assist in improving reporting while keeping a firm hand on the tiller (as number 1 in finance) for the next 3 – 6 months initially.

The role will include: management accounts preparation / review, leading a small finance team (4), commercial reporting to outline contract performance (spend / margins / profitability etc), supporting year end requirements, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

This is a modern, profitable and expanding SME that will really benefit from the guidance and reporting of an experience qualified FC.

You will enjoy making a major contribution from day one in a hands on role with plenty of autonomy.  You will ideally be able to start yesterday!  The position is currently vacant and you must be able to start immediately and commit to a 4 month initial project.

Requirements:

• Qualification (ACCA / ACA or CIMA)
• Experience as Finance Manager / FC / Head of Finance in an SME (>£10m turnover)
• Excellent Excel / analytical skills
• Ability to manage all aspects of the day to day financial management / reporting for a growing business
• Ability to start at short notice and commit to a contract position until September 2021
• Calm, diligent, proactive and confident approach to managing workload / month end calendars / a small team.
