Private Equity backed, highly acquisitive professional services Group with c£10m EBITDA, is looking to recruit a newly created Financial Accountant into their growing Finance team.  Reporting to the Group FC, the role will provide support in developing, implementing and maintaining financial reporting and control procedures for the Group.  The role includes the production of group financial and management reports, maintaining a robust system of records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the group's reported financial results and ensure compliant reported results.  The role is wide ranging and will include:

  • Timely preparation of monthly financial reporting including P&L, B/S and Cashflow plus supporting analyses;
  • Production of comprehensive reconciliations to support the group’s balance sheet;
  • Preparation of regular and ad hoc financial and non-financial reporting to assist the PE owner and Board in the management of the business;
  • Supporting the Group FC in the provision of information for audit purposes and the preparation of multiple company and group statutory accounts under FRS102;
  • Supporting the Group FC and FC in all aspects of tax reporting and compliance;
  • Contributing to the development of the financial accounting system and reporting therefrom;
  • Supporting the migration of financial information and records from acquired business’ legacy systems to the financial accounting system;
  • Liaising with subsidiaries’ finance and operations teams to align & maintain financial controls;
  • Supporting the group finance team in due diligence activities as required in relation to potential acquisitions and investments;
  • Supporting the finance and operations teams in budgeting and forecasting processes;

You will be a qualified ACA or ACCA, ideally with some experience of group consolidations.  The ideal candidate will be technically strong with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.  Strong career progression as the business grows organically and acquisitively.
