Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant, FTSE Business, 6 months, £350-400 per day

I'm working with a successful high end retailer that are looking to bring on board a interim Accountant for a period of 6 months. Working as part of the Group Financial Reporting team, you will be supporting the Senior Manager, with month end reporting responsibilities, year-end and interim statutory group reporting responsibilities and other ad hoc project work as required. You will be partnering with commercial and international teams on a regular basis and its a really high profile role within the team.

Responsibilities.

Monthly analysis and review

• Liaising with regional finance teams and other business partners to obtain relevant information for preparation of month end close journals
• Responsibility for preparation of monthly centrally controlled accounting adjustments, including both the calculation and posting of these adjustments
• Preparation of monthly analysis and reporting schedules to support month end journals

Forecasting and budgeting

• Responsibility for preparation of centrally controlled accounting adjustments for forecast and/or budget periods, for submission in to the group FP&A team
• Preparation of analysis and reporting schedules for inclusion into the forecast / budget reporting pack to support the forecast / budget submission

Statutory Reporting

• Supporting the store impairment assessment and calculation process, from planning, execution and through to preparation for the Audit Committee, working closing with regional commercial finance teams
• Review of regional interim and year-end submissions
• Review and analysis of specific group consolidated balance sheet accounts
• Preparation of specific note disclosures for the group consolidated statutory accounts

Experience required:

• ACA qualified, with at least 1 year post qualified
• IFRS and multicurrency consolidation experience
