Part Time Charity Management Accountant

Following a period of absence, a fully qualified Part-Time Management Accountant is sought for a growing charity. Working 3 days per week you will be a member of the Senior Team and review and assist in building the Charities finances and assets to enable growth in its ability to deliver its vision, mission, new projects and plans.

Duties will include:

• Provision of an accurate and timely financial service including setting and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, management and financial accounts and advice and support to inform decision making at all levels.
• Ensuring that financial policies are being consistently followed including customer and supplier contracts, purchase orders, credit control, and ensuring timely raising of invoices.
• Ensuring that budgets and management accounts accurately reflect the business activity, that accruals and other adjustments are being made correctly, that variances from the budget and other issues are investigated and resolved.
• Substantial experience/awareness of SORP, charitable finance regulations and key strategic finance reporting.  
• Cash flow management to include liaison with the banks, supporting funding applications, dealing with the financial managers and generating funds utilising the non-cash assets of the charity.

You will need to have experience as Company Finance Manager/ Charity Finance Manager.  Demonstrated experience and understanding of I & E, P & L and Cash Flow Analysis and reporting and trend analysis and forecasting. With knowledge of Sage Line 50.

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure and take day-to-day decisions on the running of the organisation. Approachable and supportive, able to work with staff and volunteers with the ability to explain complex financial information to different audiences and bring the best out of others.

The role will be working from home. The position is initially for 3 to 4 months.
