Assistant General Ledger Accountant

SF Recruitment are currently supporting a mid-sized business who are the UK Market leaders in their field. With innovative success over the last 18 months, they have maintained an excellent reputation in their field and seek a dynamic and ambitious individual to join their successful team.
The current vacancy will work closely with the reporting managers and provide support in the preparation of Management Accounts as well as defined reporting processes to their US Parent Company.

The candidate that we are looking for will ideally:

AAT Qualified/Graduate in Accounting & Finance and have commenced the early stages of their CIMA/ACCA studies
Possess exceptional communication skills to work in a high energy, goal oriented and fast paced environment
Have previously worked within a medium to large business and be able to work on own initiative whilst seeking support when required
Have a minimum of 12- 18 months experience in:

• Balance sheet reconciliations,
• Accruals and prepayments
• Preparing cash book journals
• Preparing month end journals
• Supporting in the production of reports and forecasting
• Dealing with queries from internal and external auditors
