Financial Reporting Accountant

We are currently working with a distinguished financial services group that is a leading player in their field and has grown in recent years. They have shown strong resilience through the pandemic and there now exists an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the financial reporting team and help with statutory accounting requirements for the European region.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the statutory accounting and reporting for the parent group, including UK statutory accounts and consolidation. In addition, you will manage the external audit process and provide technical accounting guidance and ad hoc project support where required. The role will also work closely with other areas of finance and the wider business and so commercial business acumen and strong communication skills will be key. You must be comfortable in working in a developing and changing environment and where taking initiative is important - particularly improving reporting systems and processes.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and your background will demonstrate strong accounting and technical expertise, likely from the chartered environment. You will have excellent knowledge of IFRS standards, experience of preparing statutory accounts and ideally providing guidance in relation to technical accounting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to partner across the business and also manage and lead project tasks.
