Position:Payroll Supervisor - £33,000 - Measham
Responsible to:Financial Accountant
Main Role:
To control and be responsible for the day-to-day work of the organisation's payroll department ensuring payments are processed on time and in full and statutory requirements are met.
Main Objectives:
*Processing of monthly salaries and maintenance of the payroll and T&A systems
*Supervision over the Payroll Team (2 reportees)
*Meet all statutory HMRC requirements
*Assist in the implementation of Company Policy and Procedures in accordance with legislative and statutory regulations
*Ensure payments to employees and statutory and contractual payments are processed accurately and on time
*Liaise with internal/external customers and third party providers
*Support HR Teams & Cost Controllers
*Assist with the reconciliation of month-end reports and maintenance of records for end of year procedures
*Assist with the production of journals, costing analysis, overtime and headcount reports
*Creation of adhoc analysis reports for managerial and financial requirements
*Assist with progressing improvements to the computer programs/systems to meet the policy requirements
*Assist with the maintenance and update of procedures in order to meet the organisation's policy, audit and quality control requirements
*Assist with the management of adhoc projects in line with the department's continuous improvement policy
*Handle the department's enquiries within the agreed timescale and according to company policy. Maintain and report on error rates and introduce effective countermeasures as and when required
*Adhere to Confidentiality, Data Protection and Health and Safety Policies
*Pension Joiners/Leavers administration
Other Duties:
From time to time other duties may be allocated in line with the development and/or benefit of the organisation.

Payroll knowledge and experience
Computer literate
Supervisory skills and experience
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Deadline driven
Able to work under pressure
