Senior Finance Analyst (FP&A)

Churchill Howard is working with a large leading IT business based in Birmingham. As they develop their decision support and strategic finance capability they have identified the need to recruit a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support the next stage of development.

What will you be doing?

In this newly created role, as Senior FP&A Analyst you will be supporting the Head of FP&A, responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
* Assist Head of FP&A to produce visual and impactful monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting packs
* Support the development and implementation of interactive and insightful executive KPI dashboard at Group and division level
* Develop and improve monthly reporting processes
* Maintain and improve the investor relations data pack
Contribute to linking the data tables that feed into the half-year and full-year analyst presentation
* Provide support of systems and processes to Group and Divisional Finance teams
* Interpret and support the standardisation of data across the business
* Contribute to the improvement of existing data architecture, including ongoing management of data
* Develop detailed analysis templates to improve understanding of business variances
* Consolidate 5-year strategic plan income statement, balance sheet and cash flow

What are we looking for?

The following qualifications, skills, attributes and experience;
* A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a good academic record
* Demonstrable FP&A and management accounting experience
* Analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks within specified deadlines
* Excel ability to manipulate large amounts of data and creating financial models

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude
* Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers and trading conditions
* System implementation experience would be an advantage but not essential
* Experienced in the use of finance systems (JDE would be an advantage, but not critical)
