Commercial Financial Controller

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working with a well-established, highly profitable, and growing company who are a market leader in their supply of an extensive, premium product range. You will be working as the number one in finance for this site, with the freedom to work in your own style, but with the backing of a sizeable listed parent.

Your new role
You will be commercially focused and will be business partnering the site MD and operations leaders in the business, with an ability to help steer the business strategy. You will manage the local finance team of 2 Management Accountants and an Accounts Administrator, as well as liaising with the SSC function for AP/AR/payroll etc. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will lead business performance reviews, oversee KPIs and will drive continuous business improvement. You will produce the 3 year strategic plan, annual budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts. You will also control all op-ex & cap-ex, produce the statutory accounts and review the weekly and monthly management accounts.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a passionate and motivated individual with a forward-thinking attitude. You will be fully qualified, with previous experience in a Finance Manager or Controller level role where you have managed a small team. As there is a strong business partnering element to this role you should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business. Exposure to a wholesale, distribution or FMCG environment would be a distinct advantage in order to add commercial value.
