Assistant Finance Business Partner

Hamilton Woods are currently assisting a Lichfield based business that is searching for an Assistant Finance Business Partner that can meet tight deadlines, challenge inconsistencies and variances, all without supervision.

Reporting primarily to the Finance Business Partner (FBP), the Assistant Finance Business Partner (AFBP) will work closely with the FBP in providing commercial and financial support to the Regional Managing Directors and their regional teams, being the interface between the regional teams and the Group Support function. In addition to supporting the FBP, the AFBP will also support the Assistant Head of FP&A to report on and analyse staffing across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of staffing related reports for use across both Group Support and Operations
  • Deputise for the Finance Business Partner when required
  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with the Managing Directors and the regional teams
  • Be the secondary interface between the regional teams and other Group Support functions
  • Review of financial and non-financial KPIs with focus on challenging regional management teams on budgetary and comparator variances
  • Assist in the reporting of key financial information on business performance to regional teams and provide advice and support to so that their knowledge and understanding is enhanced
  • Assist in the preparation and interpretation of financial analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies, as well as improving operational / financial performance of your region
  • Provide support to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered

Skills:

  • ACA, CIMA, ACCA part qualified or equivalent
  • Previous Finance experience with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads, be organised, have a flexible working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communicator and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Possess a problem solving, analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work with and model using large datasets with strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
