The client company is a leading engineering service group that offers various design and facility solution both private and public sectors. With their strong revenue growth in the past couple of years, they are currently looking for a assistant accountant to further support their UK head office based in East London.

About the role

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be reporting to the Finance Director and working along the accounts payable and internal audit teams. Your major responsibilities to be the followings:

• Complete daily bank reconciliation
• Ownership of the weekly management report and manage payroll
• Support the month end reporting process
• Enter financial data into appropriate software system
• Assist in the year end audit
• Ad hoc assistance for financial accountant and finance director

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting & Finance and part ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookup), ideally with basic data manipulation experience
• Proactive and willing to learn and grow
• Ability to work independently as well as working well within a team
• Engineering or construction experience would be a plus
