Director of Finance & Operations

Partner Executive are working with a Tree Charity who have grown considerably over the past few years as a result of high-profile projects that have been launched. They have been working hard to put in place established systems and processes as they develop to ensure continued financial stability and success of the Charity, ensuring they are able to continue delivering on their ambitious programme and projects.

Reporting into the CEO, you will work at the heart of the organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team with the opportunity to help deliver a streamlined function as well as providing an effective financial management service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing an effective financial management service with support by the administration officer
• Ensuring the charity mages its budgetary and statutory responsibilities in a full and proper manner
• Contributing commercial judgement for the strategic development of the Charity
• Providing sound financial advice to the CEO, Finance and Remunerations Committees, senior colleagues, and Project Managers
• Taking responsibility for administrative matters and ensure the Charity meets its legal obligations with the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC
• Developing and delivering a selection of HR service alongside the CEO and Senior Teams

The Ideal Candidate:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
• Experience working for a Charity with knowledge of SORP
• Previous experience working in a small, entrepreneurial team on a complex variety of projects
• Highly organised, often working to tight deadlines with a calm and confident manner
• Self-motivated, high-energy and pro-active with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Should possess a willingness to roll their sleeves up
