Our client has been at the forefront of their sector for forty years. They have a requirement for a Senior Financial Controller. This is a key role within the evolving finance structure with an initial task of overseeing the preparation of the statutory accounts for over 70 entities across 50 countries. It is important to identify a technically strong individual who can operate in a fast paced changing environment.
Key accountabilities include:
*Support the group audit process, working with the external audit team, are provided with high quality information, ensuring the audit is completed on time and with ever-reducing number of audit differences.
*Support the completion of the local statutory accounts, ensuring they are filed on time and they can be reconciled to the group consolidation system.
*Establish and lead an automation project for foreign statutory entities; support the UK automation project which is currently underway.
*Support the review of new IFRS requirements and/or regulatory issues and recommend how the business should prepare to meet them.
*Support the group audit process, working with the external audit team, are provided with high quality information, ensuring the audit is completed on time and with ever-reducing number of audit differences.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a first class academic record and a CV demonstrating excellent experience in carrying out statutory accounts preparation / Group reporting / Financial Control. The essential skills and experience required are; excellent communication, high numeracy levels, strong financial control / reporting ideally gained from within customer orientated environments .
