Junior Accountant

Growing accountancy practice in Rugby is looking for a Junior Accountant due to internal promotion. You will be expected to mainly assist the accounting department, but help out elsewhere if needed.

Description

The Junior Accountant role is fast paced, reporting to the Senior Manager and occasionally the Partners. The roles includes but is not limited to, duties such as;

• Prepare and review the financial journals: prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc
• Support the month-end processes, including monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all outstanding items are cleared, with full explanations on reconciling differences
• Assisting with producing the budgets and forecasts
• Completion of ad hoc financial accounting task
• Ability to effectively manage your workload in a deadline driven environment

The successful candidate will be;

• AAT qualified/Relevant Degree Graduate
• at least 1 year experience in practice
• Self motivated and an independent worker
• Looking to develop and progress within a growing firm
• Team player and willing to help out in other areas if needed
