Finance Manager - CG Restaurants & Bars - Covent Garden, London  

£40-£50k depending on experience + Great benefits

CG Restaurants & Bars is a young, vibrant and rapidly expanding company which is constantly growing in influence within the hospitality industry and has a portfolio of reputable and highly creative brands such as Dirty Martini and Tuttons Brasserie.  

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our finance team. The role of Financial Manager is to efficiently and accurately oversee the financial management of the business and support and mentor the Accounts Assistant. Duties will cover the full spectrum of finance operations, including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of management accounts, cash flow management and the provision of financial services and analytical support and guidance to the management teams.

Finance Manager - Key duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly group management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements) in accordance with agreed reporting deadlines and procedures
• Prepare month end balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and analyses
• Ensure all financial information is prepared in accordance with current accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Work with the ops teams and venue managers to review management accounts information on a monthly basis
• Liaise with departments across the business and support them in managing their budgets and financial planning
• Produce and create excel based analysis of business / accounting information to identify trends and highlight operational / business efficiencies
• Support the Finance Director in preparing reports for the effective forecasting / budgeting for the business, including new site appraisals
• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices
• Work closely with the venue managers to ensure all systems and procedures are adhered to and necessary information is exchanged between finance team and sites
• Supervise and mentoring of the Accounts Assistant
• Act as head of the finance department whenever the Head of Finance is away
• Seek way to improve efficiencies and reduce company costs
• Maintain 4 weekly payroll
• Support the Head of Finance with HMRC reporting, year end audit and other ad hoc tasks

Finance Manager - Person specification and experience:

• Experience in a similar environment at a similar level
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part qualified will be considered dependent on experience
• Remarkable commercial acumen and strategic business knowledge
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Capable of managing a diverse list of tasks
• Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
• Multi- site experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence
• Committed, enthusiastic and able to use initiative to drive the business forward
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with relevant systems such as Fourth Hospitality, Zonal, FnB Shop and Collins is preferable but not essential
