Commercial Accountant / Finance Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Commercial Accountant / Finance Manager for a market leading FMCG manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Financial Controller, this is a new role that has been created to provide financial support to the Purchasing team. The role will suit either a qualified Accountant with a successful track record in a business partnering role, or a newly qualified Accountant with strong commercial acumen and communication skills who is looking to move into a more commercial focused role.

Responsibilities will include:

- Partner the Purchasing team to improve business processes and ensure financial targets are met
- Deliver accurate weekly & monthly financial information to the business
- Provide senior management with KPIs (financial and non-financial) and periodic reports on trading forecasts, budgets and targets, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Provide purchasing financial information required for the annual budget and periodic forecasts and strategic reporting
- Report on contracts, hedging and financial implications of purchasing strategies
- Support the tendering process
- Support the costing of new products
- Drive Value Engineering activity across the Group

Skills & Experience Required:

- Fully qualified Accountant
- FMCG / manufacturing experience preferred (not essential)
- Strong reporting and business partnering skills
- Strong communication skills
