Accounts Senior/ Accountant

Well established firm based on the Wirral seeking an Accounts Senior / Accountant due to growth

Your new firm
You will be working within an established accountancy practice based on the Wirral who have grown in size and seen an increase in workload in recent months and so are now looking to appoint an Accountant to help maintain the high standards the clients are used to.

Your new role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients made up of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships from a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction and engineering to name but a selection. Turnovers for the clients range from those in administration to others up to the audit threshold which provides a good mix of complexities within the accounts. Your role will be to prepare the statutory accounts for the clients in your portfolio inclusive of the corporation tax and assisting with personal tax returns during the busy season.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you will be a qualified individual and will have worked within an accountancy firm recently, for a number of years. Being up to date with the current UK legislation in relation to taxes and reporting standards is essential for this role as is excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines and targets when necessary. Ideally you will have used cloud based accounting packages such as Xero or Receiptbank previously and you must be able to pick up new ways of working quickly and with ease.
