This new position is with a recently formed charitable organisation that provides services to communities in North Manchester. Based at their main office in Bury this position is initially offered as a 12 month contract with a strong potential for further extension. The role will be responsible for all financial reporting of the charity service lines and will report directly into the trustees. The main duties for this position will be:

•    Responsible for month end processes and management accounts production
•    Prepare and analyse financial reports on performance against budget
•    Prepare project expenditure reports for funders
•    Manage cashflow to ensure value for money is achieved across all activities
•    Prepare annual accounts and the budget
•    Provide financial information to support bids and tenders
•    Responsible for payroll (x15 staff), PAYE and pension requirements
•    Provide ad hoc bookkeeping services to clients
•    Assist manage in preparing quarterly progress reports
•    Support compliance and drive good practice

My client operates a 35 hour week with a flexible start and finish time, ideally they would like a full time person but they would also consider a more experienced individual looking for part / reduced hours. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a Finance Manager / Accounts Manager type role and would be excited about the opportunity to work in the charity sector.
