The Company
Our client is a leading engineering group with operations across EMEA. Due to an exciting time of growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to co-ordinate the numbers from their overseas business units.

The Role
A broad ranging role, you will support the General Managers and accountants of the overseas units to ensure robust and accurate numbers are reported and liaise with the Managing Director and Finance Director in the UK to produce and provide commentary on the consolidated numbers.

  • Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, you will ensure accounting and reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and group policies, meeting the reporting needs of stakeholders both in the UK and in the overseas business units.
  • Support the month end consolidation process and year end reporting process and ad hoc management reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of both direct and indirect tax compliance requirements.
  • Managing financial records to ensure accurate and timely records are maintained throughout core systems.
  • Support ad hoc projects to improve efficiencies throughout the group.

The Person

  • This role is a key appointment and a great opportunity to join this established company who are a leader in their field. Ideally suited to a first-time mover working at Manager level or someone industry qualified looking for their next move.
  • You will liaise closely with a diverse range of senior stakeholders so our client is looking for an ambitious, confident character, professional in their approach with excellent communication skills.
  • You will lead from the front and not be afraid to challenge the numbers or the decision- making process.
  • It is essential that you are a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with strong academics and advanced Excel skills.
