Finance Manager

My client is a highly regarded property developer who due to continued growth  is looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a 6 month contract. This opportunity would also suit someone looking for a permanent position if available at short notice. 

Your role will be to take responsibility for delivering timely and accurate management and financial reporting.  The role will report to the Financial Controller and will manage a small team, including the Assistant Finance Manager, Sales and Treasury Manager and Purchase Ledger Manager. 

Your duties will include:
 

• Production of the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting, including profit and loss account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Consolidation of subsidiaries and joint ventures 
• Production of statutory financial statements and manage the delivery of accounts for subsidiaries and joint ventures 
• Property management and other reporting, including S106/CIL, pursuit costs, service charges and ground rent reporting 
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax (VAT, CIS and corporation tax packs and returns), banking (bank compliance reporting) and corporate (filing of accounts and parent company exemptions)
• Maintaining the weekly short-term cash flow in conjunction with the Assistant Finance Manager by liaising with all relevant departments
• Managing drawdowns for development projects and funding of transactions
• Maintaining and building relationships with external partners, including auditors, tax advisers, property managers, lenders and build to rent funders
• Support senior managers and carrying out other tasks, as and when required

Person

• Qualified Accountant with suitable post qualified experience
• Strong technical acumen with a good understanding of Real Estate
• Effective communicator both with finance and non-finance professionals
• Experience of producing statutory financial statements, including consolidation working and accounts
• Understanding different corporate structures, including limited companies, limited liability partnerships and joint ventures
